Greetings AAHAM, WMCA, WCCMA and WAHAM members. The past year has brought some exciting changes that we would like to share with everyone.
In April 2011, our four organizations teamed together for the Revenue Cycle Coop conference in WI Dells. During this conference the four organizations’, Board of Directors, came together and discussed our future. After much discussion and thought, each organization felt it was most beneficial to our members to proceed with a merging of the organizations. Later in 2011 a Steering Committee was formed, consisting of two Board members from each organization. The Steering Committee met and took the information discussed back to the respective Boards to vote on final decisions. The decision was made that the merger would move forward and we would operate under the WI AAHAM Chapter dba Revenue Cycle Coop. In staying the WI AAHAM Chapter, this will provide certification opportunities to our members. We are nearing the final stage of the merger with a target date of August 31, 2012. Moving forward once the merger is complete, September 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012, the Steering Committee will be the interim Board of Directors. This is a very exciting time for all of our organizations and our members. With this merger, comes greater opportunities for our members as well. Please visit our website at www.aaham-wi.org and continue to watch for information on the upcoming fall conference. We will be sending out information in November for nominations and voting for the new Board of Directors that will begin their duties January 1, 2013. There will be an email sent to the four organizations, 2011 and 2012 members. There will be one vote per person (so if you are a member of more than one of the organizations, only one vote counts) and the votes will be done electronically. We hope those of you that attended the conference at the Concourse in Madison, enjoyed the conference. We hope to see everyone at the October 5, 2012 conference at the Paper Valley in Appleton. Please feel free to contact anyone on the Steering Committee with any questions, comments or concerns. Looking forward to the future!
