This year, unlike any in the past 11 years, holds a special importance to our providers across the nation. Between the HIP Act and the Medicare Audit Improvement Act, AAHAM is working to gain some equity for our providers. Our primary goal with each of these legislative vehicles if to reduce and/or eliminate the unintended consequences of previous laws that are now threatening the viability of many of our smaller providers as well as reign in the runaway program of RAC Audits which is flawed on so many levels and is unfairly costing providers tens of millions of dollars annually just in administrative burden.
