We Support Free & Charitable Clinics
In an ongoing effort to support the communities we serve every day, WI AAHAM Chapter collects donations at every Spring and Fall conference to benefit the nearest Free & Charitable Clinic.
Spring 2016 brought us to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where we collected $75 in cash and Walgreens gift cards along with several much needed items to donate to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic.
A message from Maribeth Woodford, Executive Director of Chippewa Valley Free Clinic:
Thank you for the compassionate support to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, making healthcare for the poor and marginalized a community priority. Your considerate contribution of financial donations, gift cards, and OTC products for our patients helps us continue our mission of providing quality health care to those with no reasonable alternative. We sincerely appreciate the extra effort your chapter makes in taking care of the needs of others.
Did you know that for every $1 received, the Clinic is able to purchase $10 worth of life saving medication? Every day we help those dependent on regular medications for chronic diseases to stay as healthy as possible.
Along with our health care services and medications, we offer vision care, free eye glasses, and other medical supplies. And in Fall of 2016, we implemented a dental program, closing another gap in healthcare for the low-income population. The Free Clinic works compassionately every week to help remove health barriers and challenges for our patients. Some simply need the strength to get through the day and take care of their families, others are seeking a job or trying their best to keep healthy and remain employed. You help us make that happen and we thank you!
Wishing you good health and well-being,
