Hi, I am your new 2016 President. I have been part of our combined Revenue Cycle Chapter in since its inception in 2011 and held multiple board and officer positions in the past. The term now is set up as a 4 year term (2nd VP-Nicole Querio, VP-Marcy Marquis, President-Connie Campbell and Past President-Jennifer Sciuti) so there is a lot of support for those interested in being mentored along the way. Other opportunities include serving a term as Treasurer-Kaye Prieve, Secretary-Leah Wright, Board member-Wendy Berger, Cindy Lindgren, Karen Balderson, Marcia Miller, Pat Curran and Robert Harsla or Committee member (anyone can join) to your professional experience and resume!
I am excited for 2016 and would like to revitalize some of our old smaller networking organization memberships and recruiting others by having special breakout sessions to address. In my career I have found there is nothing more valuable then networking for both your department and personal/professional development. This year we have members from throughout the state including Beloit, Sauk Prairie, Columbus, Milwaukee, Steven’s Point, Eau Clare, Chilton, Oshkosh and Madison. Your organization will reap much from the benefits. Come see what they are doing.
Our AAHAM platform for this year is to “Raise the Level.” We are going to do that by raising from State to National networking. The networking value we had in the past was bringing local issues we have to see how others in our state are handling. Now we can raise that to confer with national chapters. Many states I found at my meetings use Epic, Cerner, Meditech and are facing the same things with the Affordable Care Act, membership and interpretation of government rules. Government-wise this year, legislatively we will be sending 2 delegates from our chapter to lobby on the HIP and the Medicare Audit Improvement Act. Last year we worked on the Telephone Portability Act that has now passed!
The business partners we have, as you know, are invaluable with them attending our conferences. They listen. They are countless to name but show up and work closely with us keeping us abreast of national trends. They are the ones who are continually designing and re-designing solutions to work for our organizations locally to meet our needs.
With our AAHAM National affiliation this year for convenience we will be offering monthly webinars and blogs for Q&A’s in addition to our 2-3 in person state conferences a year. If you seek bigger, there is also attendance at our awesome national ANI conference being held in Las Vegas this year October 5-7. So there are lots of benefits and opportunities. Don’t miss out on this incredible year.
Make a difference in your organization! Join now!

Past President's Message
Jennifer Sciuti, Aurora Health Care
It was my distinct pleasure to serve as the 2015 President and want to extend my sincere thanks to our Chapter’s Executive Officers and Board of Directors. Our Chapter’s success was a direct result of the dedication and support from this group of revenue cycle experts.
We had a busy year with some of the highlights coming from the 2015 Legislative Day in Washington DC where we had a record number of Wisconsin representatives attending, we saw the return of the Annual Awards Banquet in the Spring and we topped of the year in Green Bay with the Legendary Lambeau Leap tour! I am thankful to be able to continue to serve our Chapter as the Past President and look forward to advancing the platform Connie has laid out for us in Wisconsin. I remain active at the National level alongside Connie on the National Education Committee where we plan to assist in the development of Annual National Institutes agenda. Our goal will be to bring what we learn at the National level to our membership in Wisconsin. I look forward to seeing you in Eau Claire in June.
Jennifer Sciuti Past President
